Domestic Violence is funny, Especially if the woman being beat is black?!

So here I am sitting on the ferry,
I'm super tired and I just got off from work from NARAL (which has my feminist blood pumping and fully pissed off at how little rights we have) and some guy sits behind me and then his friends join him. I tend to listen in to peoples conversations, I see nothing wrong with this. But this guys conversation just made me mad.

It went like this "Oh you know *name withheld* just got out of jail again" says Jerk #1....His buddy responds "For what?"...Jerk #1 responds with "domestic violence....But she deserved it she was a bitch..." Says the jerk # 1....They both laugh....Cause obviously a woman getting beat is nothing but shits and giggles for them. Then the buddy says "wasn't she black anyway?" and Jerk #1 says "yeah" and they laugh more.

I seriously cannot believe this.

What year is this? Why would anyone ever laugh at a woman getting beaten up for no fucking reason. Are you serious?! and then they laughed harder cause she was African American! Seriously?! How fucked up is that.

Why aren't the men in this world being taught that this isn't funny, and it isn't right?! We seriously need to get most of the men out their educated on domestic violence issues. I mean think about what happen in a different scenario.

Say the Jerk #1 is saying all that BS, But his friend calls him out on how hes acting, He tells him that what happened to that woman is wrong and no one deserves it. Then that will shut up his friend and make his friend realize at least for a moment that what he was laughing at was truly fucked up. (Excuse the language but that is what it is)

So please by all means ladies, voice your opinions about domestic violence as loud as you can and let people know how truly screwed up it is because the more and more we all raise our voices the more and more people are going to start listening to us. And that goes for every women's issue out there. And just a peoples issue.
