Okay, I imagine that vast numbers of people will be absolutly desperate to sign up, so if anyone would like to work through the Weingreen Practical Guide to Classical Hebrew with me, sometime between now and the beginning of October, a study group would be fun.

As a side note, should anyone have a Classical Hebrew related question, I can at least try and anwer it.

Told you this would be popular.

Hey there,

I actually speak (modern) Hebrew, and I'd be happy to help you out if you have any questions. Good luck!

Oops, don't know how this escaped my notice, but I can read classical Hebrew if you need grammar clarification. Good luck, it's a fun (and challenging) language!

Sarina that's awesome. I actually took Hebrew when I was 14.
Mostly all I remember is "Mashlom ech?" --"Tove."

ha I love Hebrew! I worked at a Starbucks a few years ago, where many of the customers were Israeli, and I'd always try to pick out my paltry 20-odd words I still remembered from their conversations.

I hate verbs.

Or more specifically, I have vowels.

Grrr.

rhi, what's giving you trouble? the subscripted nature of the vowels? Ask and we might pool our collective knowledge to help you out.

Meah, I think I'm just getting them all confused, and not seeing what the point of a Piel verb is, let alone any of the others.

But on a brighter note, it seems like I don't have to know Hebrew anymore to pass my Finals. Instead I shall study Islam and all will be well.
