I play a priest in World of Warcraft and her name has been Hymenoptera for over a year a half. This week I received an email informing me that name was inappropriate and I needed to pick another before I could play her again.
I'm so pissed! I contested it of course but that was a waste of my time. While I really enjoy playing WoW, I'm not sure I want to financially support a company that has that kind of attitude about body parts. (The name had nothing to do with bodies in the first place; I named her after my love of bees.) Whether I decide to continue playing or not, the rest of this month is paid for so I'd like to have a very obviously feminist name to replace my "inappropriate" one.
Suggestions?

Ha! That's a good idea. I went a different route though and named her Feminism (Feminist was taken). It makes me feel better.
Hopefully it will also make it clear to people that I am in fact a real woman -- apparently we don't exist? -- and make them hesitate before misusing the words gay and queer.

I play WoW, too. Get this, my guy bud had a character named Ringnose. Someone found it inappropriate, so Bliz changed it with a random name generator to Hardtail. Dude. Lets hope you get a choice of name. Good luck, Jill.
