Okay, how is "sexist" /not/ classroom-appropriate vocabulary? I think your teacher needs a little perspective. You should review your school's policies regarding detention-worthy infractions, because in my opinion that is absolutely ridiculous. You should not have been yelled at, let alone given detention, simply for stating an opinion.
