Has anyone else noticed the anti feminist vibe in that series?
It seemed to me that Bella is promoting incompetence, By needing a man to do anything.
Did anyone notice anything like that?

Good grief, this book series...just astounds me sometimes.
Brushing over the whole analogy of teen sexuality as vampirism (ie: a sickness, which I think is a horrible way to start off ones impressionable life), the character of Bella is far too close to the person I was at 14 years old. I didn't think I could exist without the love of a man. I have no intention of revisiting that time period of my life or parading it around as "great romance" or whatever.
Then there's also the whole birth scene where the baby literally rips her to shreds, or how this guy stalkers her "because he looooooves her".
I'm scared for kids with this one, to be honest.
